StoneHouse Marketing Wins Bronze Addy Award at10th District Competition with Scodix Press

NORMAN, Oklahoma – May 9, 2019 – StoneHouse Marketing, whose installation of a Scodix Ultra2 Pro was just announced in February, is already reaping the rewards. In March, using their new Scodix system, StoneHouse was awarded a bronze American Advertising Award (ADDY) for the American Advertising Federation Tenth District competition. Agencies from Oklahoma, Louisiana, Arkansas and Texas participated in this regional awards competition. The company, founded in 1995 and based in Norman, Oklahoma, has been implementing the Scodix system to better serve their large retail and healthcare clients, as well as their gift card, loyalty card and direct mail clients.

Magnifi•Sense Shines

The winning poster series was a marketing promotional piece enhanced using Magnifi•Sense (StoneHouse’s service using the Scodix foil and spot UV digital press). The underlying posters were first printed on an HP Indigo 12000 digital press, and then embellished using a creative variety of foils and spot UVs (ultra-shiny polymer) on the Scodix press. The series showcased the design boundaries that can be pushed using digital enhancements that do not require traditional foil dies and analog techniques.

The American Advertising Awards (ADDYs) is the advertising industry’s largest and most representative competition, attracting over 40,000 entries every year in local AAF club (American Advertising Federation Ad Club) competitions. The mission of the American Advertising Awards competition is to recognize and reward the creative spirit of excellence in the art of advertising.

Conducted annually by the AAF, the local Ad Club phase is the first of a three-tier, national competition. Concurrently, all across the country, local entrants vie to win ADDY Awards – recognition as the very best in their markets.

At the second tier, local ADDY winners compete against winners from other local clubs in one of 15 district competitions. District ADDY winners are then forwarded to the third tier, the national stage of the American Advertising Awards. Selection of the most creative entry in each category is affected by a scoring process in which a panel of judges evaluates all creative dimensions of every entry.
