SGIA Supports Digital Print for Packaging and Digital Textile Printing US 2019

Events hone in on two key growth areas in the age of convergence

Fairfax, Va. — The Specialty Graphic Imaging Association (SGIA) is pleased to sign on as a Supporting Association/Media Partner for Smithers Pira’s Digital Print Week conferences, Digital Print for Packaging and Digital Textile Printing (Orlando, Fla.; June 4 – 5 and June 6 – 7, 2019, respectively).

“Today’s print service providers (PSPs) are taking advantage of opportunities created by the convergence of printing technologies and markets, and package printing and textile printing are natural growth areas,” said Ford Bowers, President & CEO, SGIA, who sits on the advisory board for both events. “Digital Print Week will spark inspiration for PSPs considering moves into the digitally printed packaging and textile arenas.”

Research conducted by SGIA and NAPCO Research showed 95% of PSPs surveyed indicating they see opportunities for expansion within and outside their primary market areas.

Digital Print for Packaging US 2019 will feature some of the top experts in digital printing and packaging sharing how brand owners, convertors, printing equipment suppliers and packaging designers can capitalize on what is really happening in the digital print for packaging sector. Among them, SGIA Director of Digital Print Programs Ray Weiss will moderate a panel discussion on color management.

Closing out Digital Print Week, Digital Print for Textiles US 2019 will welcome key players from across the digital print and textiles landscape to discuss the digital age of textiles, innovation in digital print, technical advances, and commercialization of digital print for textiles in apparel and home décor.

“We are excited to have SGIA’s participation. Digital Print Week has really become the key place in the industry to have technical discussions around commercializing digital print for packaging and textiles. We have expanded our reach to include so many different perspectives on the program and in the exhibit hall. If you are looking to hear about scalable solutions that are driving broad adoption of digital print, this is the place to be,” said Jena Stout, Conference Producer, Smithers Pira.

SGIA has secured a 15% discount on registration for both conferences for SGIA members only. Use code DPW19SGIA when registering.
