The Felix Schoeller Group is thrilled with some unforgettable moments at photokina in Cologne

Osnabrück, 28. October 2014

The company’s high-quality specialty papers were a winner – both with professional photographers and with German Olympians Lilli Schwarzkopf, Felix Loch and Sebastian Dietz

The Felix Schoeller Group presented a host of new products at this year’s photokina in Cologne. One of the products showcased by the manufacturer of high-end specialty papers was its E-CANVAS, which has been specially developed for the new HP Indigo 7800 and is a real breakthrough for high-calibre prints on genuine canvas. The company’s four new TRUE rag papers for professional photographers were also among the paper highlights at the international flagship photography show.

“Once again we have seen proof – if proof were needed – that photokina is one of the imaging industry’s most important international forums for innovation and commerce and is an ideal platform for us to showcase our developments in high-end specialty papers,” said Florian Murrmann, Senior Vice President Marketing for the Felix Schoeller Group. Both Murrmann and Hewlett Packard were delighted with the positive feedback about E-CANVAS, which was specially developed for HP Indigo 7800 in order to boost quality in the growing market for high-end canvas prints. Hewlett Packard also presented this new digital press at photokina. E-CANVAS papers can already be used to produce high-quality canvas products more quickly and far more cost-effectively in formats up to 32 x 46 centimetres.

Lilli Schwarzkopf and Marc Serota (r.) are thrilled with the Felix Schoeller products Florian Murrmann presented them with.

Outstanding photo quality for all applications

Our new TRUE rag papers were also head-turners at the show. “These new professional photography papers are a huge success for Felix Schoeller. They offer a large selection of new and exciting finishes and are outstanding value for money,” said professional photographer Marc Serota. These four new cotton papers are ideal for water-based printing and have impressive features such as their unique feel and high basis weights of 305 grams per square metre. The different structures of their finishes deliver perfect results for high-quality photo prints and art reproductions.

For absolute top photo quality on the spot, the go-to choice has to be LIVE photo and LIVE fine art papers for dry inkjet minilab systems. With 12 photo papers and eight finishes – glossy, lustre, satin, pyramid, metallic glossy, metallic lustre, matt and canvas texture – the LIVE portfolio offers the greatest product diversity available for water-based inkjet printing in the photo retail market. At the Felix Schoeller Group’s stand, visitors from the industry and amateur photo enthusiasts alike had the opportunity to take a look for themselves and to have both their own photos, as well as fabulous motifs by Marc Serota, printed out in different formats on LIVE photo papers.

The perfect image in top photo quality

Olympic medallists Lilli Schwarzkopf, Felix Loch and Sebastian Dietz also marvelled at unforgettable moments printed in absolute top photo quality. The heptathlete, who won a silver medal in London in 2012, the luge champion who took double gold in Sochi in 2014 and the 2012 Paralympic gold medallist in the discus were guests at the stand of the Felix Schoeller Group, official premium paper partner of the German Olympic team. The Olympic stars not only signed autographs but also marvelled at the outstanding photos of their own personal winning moments printed on the company’s high-end LIVE papers, which they then took home as a personal gift.
